The earthly world rises in rebirth from the watery womb within a primordial cave. The roots of the tree of life are as rivers that run to the seas. Green leafy branches reach for the life giving light of the sun. This card has a strong link to the earth element suite and also water.

      The concept of worlds within worlds is implied. Oceans, the underwater city of Atlantis, mountains, and forests are all realms within and upon our earth. All are interconnected in the vast network of creatures, people and cultures that have existed within it since the beginning.

      The world is the last card in the major arcana and signifies completion of cycles as it revolves within our galaxy. Ancient Indian Vedic texts, Mayan, Sumerian, and Egyptian writings all speak of ages- great cycles of destruction and renewal in which monumental shifts occur. These changes give rise to new phases of growth and opportunity.
